It's always great to be the bearer of good news and so I am delighted to tell you that two more of the abandoned dogs featured on the site have found homes. As space is at a premium I have removed them from the dogs and puppies page, and will be replacing their details with two more urgent cases.
So the two newly adopted dogs are Lana from Rome (pictured top far left) and Pasqualino from Caserta near Naples. Lana is an older dog rescued from a canile lager after being abandoned. She spent years there and her adoption was made all the harder by the fact that she has a deformed front leg. It is wonderful she has found a home.
Pasqualino (sorry about the gory photo but it is the only one we have), was found by the carabinieri struggling to make his way along the street having sustained the terrible injury in the photo. He had been in this condition for many hours and no-one had stopped to help him. The problem worrying the volunteers was that once he had healed he would have to be released back on the streets. Thanksfully that isn't going to happen now as he is on his way to his new home.
Let's keep this success going so please please consider a rescue dog if you are going to get one. There are plenty more like Lana and Pasqualino desperate for loving homes.
